The History Of Plasma Cutting

Plasma use dates all the way back to world war II.

The process of plasma is formed by charging gas with an electric current to insanely hot temperatures which creates what we call plasma. This massive amount of energy begins to break down the gas molecules, and the atoms split.

 

Once the rapidly moving electrons collide with ions and electrons, a huge amount of energy is released creating plasma to cut through even the thickest steels at a crazy temperature of up to 45,000*F!
